New Bern Crossings

Located on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh, New Bern Crossings is Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) multifamily development providing a mix of 1,2, and 3-bedroom affordable units. Haven originated the development project through a Wake County RFP to deploy public funds for the creation of PSH units in the Raleigh area. Through a process of seeking the highest return on this public investment, Haven engaged Harmony Housing as the General Partner (GP) for development with Families Together as the supportive services provider. The income-restricted units are mixed-income for households earning 60% or below the Area Median Income (AMI). A portion of the units are set-aside as no-barrier long term housing for individuals/families at-risk of or experiencing homelessness. Alongside community amenities, supportive services are located within as well as nearby the development. The site is situated on the City’s Bus-Rapid-Transit (BRT) route providing direct access to public transportation, education, and employment opportunities.

Haven is a minor development partner on this project and did not provide professional design or construction services.
